A Church Reforming
The Reverend Krystal Leedy
II Kings 22:1-2, 8-11; 23:21-27

To be in the Service of Christ at The University of Texas has been part of University Presbyterian Church’s mission since the first days of the University. All college students are invited to be a part of our worship, fellowship, service, and study here at UPC. We call this program UKirk at UPC. UKirk stands for University Kirk, or University Church, as the Scottish word for Church is Kirk. Our campus ministry exists for all college students in the Austin area. Please call or email Krystal Leedy, Associate Pastor for Campus Ministry, for more information. For up-to-date information, check out the UPC Calendar for campus events.

Weekly Schedule During the School Year
Bible Study (5:15pm): We have a Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall where we discuss how our faith intersects with being a college student.
Dinner & Fellowship (6pm): We share a free meal together in Fellowship Hall, provided by women and men of our church. We talk, laugh, and even play some games.
Worship (7pm): Our Sunday Evening Worship service in the Fellowship Hall is open to everyone, but especially to college students. We practice a Presbyterian Evening Prayer service on most Sunday evenings that the University is in session. On the last Sunday of the month, we move to the Sanctuary for a Taizé worship service.
UKirk ‘Wich Wednesdays: It’s literally what it sounds like.
Come to church on Wednesday. Get a sandwich. Eat said sandwich. Talk with friends. Walk away happy. Come and go.
We provide a study space here at the church for our students who need a quiet place to study while school is in session. Contact Krystal Leedy for more details.
Our entire lives are in worship to God, but we take a special time out on Sunday evenings from 7pm-8pm to worship as a community together. This worship service is designed to be for and by college students. If you would like to get involved, contact Krystal Leedy.
Volunteer opportunities abound in Austin, and we want to make sure that our faith is more than an intellectual exercise. Once a month, we do a service project that involves our faith in action. We have, in the past, worked in the community garden, worked in the food pantry, and helped out at UPC. We are looking to expand our community reach further to other causes. If there is something you are passionate about, we would love to hear about it.
Fellowship is about more than just getting together. We get together knowing that we are building a community of Christians. On Sunday evenings, we have a time of fellowship between dinner and worship to get to know one another better and to have fun while doing so! We also do specific fellowship events like game nights, Sandwich Thursdays, days at the lake, and retreats. Hope you can join us!
We know you are studying for exams and papers, but in the midst of that, every Sunday evening, we have time to study the Bible and theology. We hope you will come Sunday evenings from 5:15-6:00pm so that your mind is growing not just with academic knowledge, but knowing more about God as well.
