COVID-19 Response – Getting and Giving Help
UPC has been working with many agencies in our area to coordinate community ministry. Under the guidance of Pastor Krystal Leedy, we have been seeking opportunities for us to assist our neighbors during such unusual times and in such unusual circumstances. The public health wisdom around restraining from even small gatherings requires us to think unconventionally about how we might serve those around us — it means that normal operations of the Micah 6 food pantry or the UPC UPLift Outreach Ministry would be counterproductive to the health of clients and volunteers both. But we are still seeking new ideas and new opportunities for community engagement, and Pastor Krystal Leedy is actively listening to community voices and working with our own Mission & Service Committee to look for imaginative solutions.
Click here if you are seeking ways to help
from home or, if you’re healthy and not in a high risk category, ways to help in as safe a manner as possible. We strongly urge you to volunteer only through an agency that has been trained to minimize the risk of transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
We will update this information frequently. For more information or questions about how to help, please email Pastor Krystal at firstname.lastname@example.org
