Last Week's Sermon
Supper & Substance
July 22, 2019
Mark your Monday evenings between July 22 and August 12 to come to the UPC Fellowship Hall to share a meal and conversation about a movie that touches on themes of life and faith and serves as a visual parable to help us develop “eyes that see and ears that hear” how God’s messages of hope and love are revealed through contemporary films.
Each week’s dinner will be prepared and served by a UPC group raising money for a particular project. There will be more information about these fund-raising goals at each week’s gathering; the participating groups are listed below by date.
We’ve set a dinner cost to cover the food expense, but if you’re so inclined, you may pay more than that, and the additional funds will go directly to the group’s designated project.
We will begin serving dinner at 5:30pm each Monday, the movie discussion begins at 6:30.
You Must Sign Up for Dinner
There will be a sign-up table in the courtyard after worship each Sunday beginning July 14. You may pay when you sign up on Sunday or at the door on Monday you attend. Pay with cash, check, or credit card. Adults and teens: $7.00. Children 3-12: $3.00.
The first movie is Minority Report, July 22, benefiting the UPLift program. Your host is Tommy McReynolds.
See you at the Movies!
