Holy Week Schedule
University Presbyterian Church is a diverse collection of believers who together journey with God here at the intersection of the University of Texas and the city
of Austin. We’re a church that likes to worship with beauty and to ask questions
with curiosity. We’re also a church that serves; walk through our doors, and you’re likely to meet somebody working in the food pantry, serving with our homeless intervention program, or breaking bread with students living in our neighborhood.
We invite you to come and catch a glimpse of the spirit and ministry of UPC.
Join us for worship during Holy Week. You’ll discover warm hearts, a generous, affirming congregation, and perhaps even find a home where you can share in our journey of seeking and serving God here in this place and in this community. Welcome!
April 14 PALM SUNDAY
Join us in the central courtyard for a special presentation by Drumsistas at 10:30 a.m., and enter the sanctuary with palms and singing at 11:00 a.m.
April 18, 19, 20 TRIDUUM – THE GREAT THREE DAYS
The Great Three Days, or Triduum, is a single worship service spread over Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Vigil on Holy Saturday. You will notice that we are called to worship on Thursday and receive the benediction on Saturday. While this service is an ancient practice of the church, our hope is that you will hear anew the message of God’s love through these diverse presentations of the story of our faith. We invite you to join us on this pilgrim journey as we experience Christ’s call to service at his table, the haunting music and lament at the foot of the cross, and the joyful celebrations and symbols at the empty tomb. Let us keep the fast.
