Carter Grant, Associate Pastor

Carter Grant feels blessed to be the associate pastor at University Presbyterian Church. She is a 2023 graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, with a breadth of ministry experience both during and prior, including: youth and young adult ministry at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina; campus ministry at UKirk of the University of South Carolina; pastoral residency at Broadway Presbyterian Church in New York; and, chaplaincies at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, The Bowery Mission in New York City, and the YMCA of the Rockies. She loves worshipping with all ages and having fellowship over a plate of tacos. She invites UPC to take church work seriously but not to take ourselves too seriously. Carter currently lives in the West Campus area of Austin and greatly appreciates any recommendations for good running trails, swimming holes, thrift stores, or restaurants where she can dance poorly and joyfully to live music.
