Make Your Pledge of Support.

For the Living of these Days

He established a decree in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach to their children; that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and rise up and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments.

Psalm 78: 5-7

Our 2026 Stewardship season has started! You should be receiving a packet this week with a devotional and a commitment card. Printed copies are available in the main office as well. The devotional focuses on discipleship in uncertain times, which seems fitting for us as we consider our future and the new ways UPC may be called to serve the community around us. Every week we’ll look at certain ministries and the ways your support will help sustain and grow them. During worship on November 23rd, we’ll use this information to commit ourselves and our resources to strengthening the church for its mission, whatever that evolves into.

This week’s focus is on Christian Formation, learning about our faith is a core practice of discipleship. Challenge yourself to learn more about the Christian faith this coming year!

Check out the adult and children’s Sunday school classes following worship. If you’re wanting to try something new, offer to lead a Bible study or book club or to teach a class.

Another way to participate is to volunteer your time and talents. The children’s and youth Sunday school classes could use some extra adults, or if you’d prefer a shorter time commitment, volunteer to help with Vacation Bible School next June.

Also consider what your financial commitment could do for this ministry. The session, along with Staff and Strategy, have identified a critical need for a Christian Formation director who could help with the children’s and youth Sunday school classes, as well as with youth activities. This staffing position would free up pastors for other ministerial needs while providing our children and youth with consistent programming.

Thanks for your consideration,

The Stewardship Committee
