7:00 PM UPC Sanctuary
“The Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want…”
So begins one of the most familiar and beloved biblical passages, the 23rd Psalm. We often turn to these words in times of stress or sorrow, but what else can these words bring to us in our daily lives? These few lines of scripture are full of rich images that can take on different shades of meaning, like looking at the colors of the Grand Canyon at different times of day.
Our regular 11:00 a.m. worship on Sunday, July 19, will be presented by the participants in this year’s VBS. In addition, there will be an evening vespers service led by Summer Intern Janine Zabriskie.
Using beautiful music and contemplative prayer along with the familiar words, we will wander through the 23rd Psalm, and hopefully find some new images and associations to stir our hearts, minds and spirits.
Please plan to join us in the sanctuary for this very special service at 7:00 p.m. on July 19.
